Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy

At EM Physiotherapy, we provide comprehensive musculoskeletal physiotherapy for a wide range of injuries, pain conditions, and movement concerns. Treatment focuses on reducing pain, improving strength and mobility, supporting recovery from injury, and helping you return to the activities that matter most. Services may include hands-on therapy, exercise rehabilitation, education, posture and ergonomic advice, and personalised management plans tailored to your goals and lifestyle.

Dry Needling

Dry needling is a physiotherapy treatment technique used to help relieve muscle tension, reduce pain, and improve movement. Fine needles are gently inserted into tight or sensitive muscles and trigger points to assist in releasing tension and promoting recovery. Dry needling may be used as part of a broader physiotherapy treatment plan alongside hands-on therapy, exercise rehabilitation, and movement advice to support optimal outcomes.

Strength Training for Women

Strength training for women focuses on improving muscle strength, bone health, balance, and overall wellbeing through safe and personalised exercise programs guided by a physiotherapist. Strength training plays an important role in supporting healthy bones, maintaining muscle mass, reducing the risk of osteoporosis and falls, and helping women stay strong and active throughout all stages of life. Programs are tailored to individual goals, fitness levels, injuries, and health needs, with a focus on building confidence and long-term sustainable health.

Pilates Movement Therapy

Pilates Movement Therapy combines the core principles of the Pilates Method with Clinical Pilates to support whole-person health and wellbeing.  Developed by Joseph Pilates, the Pilates Method focuses on strength, flexibility, posture, balance and body awareness through mindful movement, guided by the principles of breath, centring, concentration, control, precision and flow.  Clinical Pilates is an individualised, physiotherapist-guided approach to movement and rehabilitation that supports strength, mobility and recovery while accommodating injury, pain or physical limitations.

By combining mindful movement with evidence-based physiotherapy principles, Pilates Movement Therapy offers a holistic approach to improving physical function, resilience and overall wellbeing.
